For his last full Council of the 2023/4 municipal year, the Mayor of Elmbridge in Surrey invited Jewish and Muslim representatives for opening prayers. Philip Goldenberg of N W Surrey Synagogue and Imam Bilal Ahmad of Moseley Islamic Cultural Centre fulfilled this role, and their contributions were warmly welcomed by the Council.
