Police Chaplains
Surrey Police welcome applications from members of any faith community registered with Interfaith Network UK who would like to volunteer as police Chaplains, offering 2-4 hours each week to visit a police station to encourage and listen to officers and police staff, whatever they may want to talk about. Our police Chaplains are part of the wider wellbeing service supporting the workforce, and receive uniform, training, and regular supervision. Some police Chaplains are faith leaders, others are members of their faith communities. All have experience and skills in listening with patience and tolerance, and without judgement. Our volunteer Chaplains have the approval of their faith community to undertake the role. If you would like to find out more, contact chaplaincy@surrey.police.uk
