God does not jump in; take over and abolish the tragedies and atrocities in this world, as some think He should. Instead, He carries us through the difficult times and offers His comfort and safe-keeping, if we go to Him and have faith in Him. These thoughts are expressed in the well-known poem ‘Footprints in the sand’ by Mary Stevenson.
