Join us as we listen how Zafar uses his Muslim faith in everyday life. Zafar is from the Punjab in Pakistan and came to the UK in 1969. He read chemistry at University College Cardiff (Ph.D. 1989). He worked for Woking Borough Council as a senior policy officer in corporate strategy and lead the Council’s community engagement strategy until his recent retirement.
Zafar has a keen interest in building community and has been the council representative on Woking People of Faith's Trustee Board for many years. He will be remembered particularly for championing the Horsell Common Peace Garden (pictured below with Prince Edward). We look forward to hearing about how his faith works out in action.
