On 23rd September Woking People of Faith will celebrate their 10th Anniversary of taking part in the International Peace Day celebrations. The event will take place in Woking Town Centre between 12pm and 1pm in Mercia Walk and will include the following events.
The reading of a Statement of Peace from the Leaders of different faiths.
The Mayor will award prizes to local school children who have taken part in a competition organised by WPoF to illustrate different aspects of peace in drawings, paintings and verse.
To encourage gardening 60 packets of wildflower seeds will be distributed and there will be Henna, face painting and Origami stalls.
Local musicians will provide entertainment.
