Woking Debates' next debate will be 'Do we have an effective welfare state? It takes place at Friends Meeting House, Woking and via Zoom on Saturday 23rd April at 11am.
Are our welfare services perpetuating poverty traps? Are we giving people enough of the right kind of help? Are there other ways we could provide a safety net? Claire Burgess, CEO of the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People, Raul Lai, a politics student and Frank Young of Civitas will open the discussion.
