We would like to invite you to a special cooking themed Zoom event. We will meet via Zoom on Thursday 29th October 29th at 12.30pm to cook falafels and chat. The falafels take about 25 minutes to make – we have allowed an hour for the meeting, which will give us plenty of time for cooking and getting to know one another. As this is half term week, if you have children with you, they could come along and help you.
You will need to have your phone, tablet or computer in the kitchen with you, so that you can join the Zoom meeting and join in with the cooking and conversation. Three of us have already tried this out, and had a lovely time cooking and chatting, and all ended up with a delicious plate of falafels. The recipe we will be using is a straightforward but delicious one, which we found easy to follow and virtually foolproof. Of course if you are experienced with making falafels, you can use your own variations, and pass on your ideas on the day.
The ingredients we'll be using are:
1 tin of chickpeas (400g) ; 2 x spring onions; 1 teaspoon ground cumin; zest of 1 lemon; 2 dessertspoons of plain flour; Salt and pepper to taste; Oil to fry the falafel
To join in, you will need to register with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you the Zoom link.
