Football Fun 2013

6 local teams played 6-aside matches of 10mins in total in a competition whose prize was the Woking People of Faith Charity Football Trophy!  Players from Woking Police, Shah Jehan Mosque, URC Youth team, St Andrews Church Goldsworth Park, Coign Church & Al-Asr Mosque enjoyed a day of energetic play, ending in two exciting semi-finals followed by the grand final between Al-Asr and Shah Jehan mosques.  Al-Asr players came away victorious, having scored 6 goals to Shah Jehan's 2. 

In the middle of the day all teams were treated to a lunch courtesy of Woking People of Faith, and enjoyed getting to know one another over the meal. After the Final, Mayor Cllr Anne Roberts made a speech and then presented medals to runners up & winning team players and also a trophy to winning team organisation. 

the event ended at 4pm.
