Spring Football Festival 2011, 23rd April 2011

Winston Churchill School Sports Centre, Woking

Woking People of Faith, invited local faith communities and football clubs to play for the Woking People of Faith 2011 Charity Football Trophy on 23rd April 2011.  Two mosques, three churches, a group of Nepalese youngsters and two local football clubs put together a total of 13 teams which played in 4 groups, completing the first round by lunchtime

Food and drinks were provided by the Charity for the 150 players and supporters before the quarter and semi finals in the early afternoon.  Woking’s Deputy Mayor, Mr Ken Howard, watched the final and presented runners-up medals to Woking-Maybury FC and the trophy to winners, Woking United.
