National Interfaith Week 2017

We are marking this years National Interfaith week by holding an event at the Parkview Community Centre on 19th November from 2 pm - 5 pm. members of the armed forces and the police will tell us about diversity and Inclusion in Institutions and society and as usual there will be a break partway through for refreshments.

One of the speakers at this years event is Liutenant Colonel Graeme MacPherson who was commisioned into the Royal Corps of Transport in 1991. He has served in Transport Regiments, an Ambulance Regiment and Commanded a Supply Regiment. He has been an assessor at the Army Officer selection Board and a member of the directing staff on the Advanced Command and Staff Course (Reserves). He is professionally qualified as a Trading Standards Officer and in addition to his Reserve Career has studied part time for a Master's in Business Administration. Following a 27 year  career in Local Government, during which he became Head of Regulatory Services and Waste Management at West Sussex County Council, he joined 11 Infantry Brigade on a Full Time Reserve Service contract and has been the Brigade lead on Civil Engagement. He was also the Army Lead for planning and delivery of Armed Forces Day National Event 2015 in Guildford and the Royal opening of the Muslim Peace Garden in Woking.
